Hello Bob,
I happily stumbled on your site last year when looking for sites with a
similar objective to my own. It is thrilling to see that someone else
has concluded: "We must engage in a serious effort to promote
responsible thinking in ourselves and others if we really want the
world to be a better place." I admire what you have been
able to flesh out on your site by way of information and defining the
problem.
I erected my site in 2001 to begin the process of manifesting the goals
of my vision which is to raise consciousness about the need for what
you would call responsible thinking in order to help solve our social
problems. I have very little to show toward that end but I have
recently become committed to redoubling my efforts which is why I
write. I would like to reprint your chapter/article Solving
Social Problems on my site. There you explain the solution
so well. This is just what I think that people need to understand and
get passionate about! I have already placed a link to your site from my
links page, but I will provide another one on the article page as well
should you agree to my request.
My Heartiest Regards,
~Carol

Carol,
Sorry about
the slow reply, but I was vacationing in Vermont and was actually away
from the internet for more than a week!
I'm
delighted that you're interested in posting my article and happily
grant you permission.
Your site
looks great. It seems so obvious that a wide
variety of the world's problems are the result of avoidable
ignorance, but it's rare that anybody actually looks at it that
way. It's a good way to motivate critical thinking, but
authors of critical thinking materials don't seem to be aware of
it. I wish you success with your website. I'll add
a link to it from my site.
Let me know
if there's any other way I can help.
Bob
Bob,
I hope you enjoyed your time roughing it in Vermont without the
internet. I am very pleased to reprint your article on my site. It will
be hard to find another with such great pertinence to my project. Thank
you. And yes, I will definitely keep you in mind for future schemes
that are sure to come. Stay tuned!
