Dear Mr. Korn,
I enjoy your writing and think what you have to say
is important and thank you for the effort of developing your website. I
have one minor criticism though, the salmon color background with the
dark blue text is hard to read and I would suggest you change the
background color on those few pages. I wouldn't bother telling you this
if I didn't think what you have to say is worth reading and therefore
think it a shame to have such a minor distraction hinder.
I use G+ as a social network and I am thinking of
posting paragraphs from your website for general discussion. Is that
ok?
Best Regards,
Jim Wilbur
Jim,
It is fine if you post paragraphs from my website.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. I’m not sure which pages
you feel need changing. I can’t find anyplace where I use dark blue
text; it is normally black. Is it possible your browser defaults to
dark blue or something of that nature? I use a variety of shades as
backgrounds depending on the section, and the one that seems most
likely to be an annoying salmon is the appendix section. Is that what
you’re thinking of? I’d hate to lose readers because my colors are hard
on the eyes.
Bob
Dear Bob,
Thank you for permission, I will try that out.
It's the four pages linked under the 'Importance of
Responsible Thinking' header. Maybe the text is a charcoal gray? It was
difficult enough for me to read that I cut and pasted the text into
notepad rather than read it on the page. I do wear glasses and have a
reasonably good quality flat screen monitor.
Best Regards,
Jim
Jim,
I tried several browsers and always get black text, but my website
doesn’t explicitly specify text color, so if your browser has a
different default text color, that’s what you’ll get. I should specify
text color so this won’t happen, but probably won’t be able to get to
it for a while.
Bob
